"The item is not available due to issues with the item's content. If you would like to report this problem as an error report, you may do so here."

This doesn't make any damned sense! What was the point of me spending all that damned time uploading this file, including allowing me to ultimately finish uploading it, and then not put it on the site??!

Why didn't IA give me some sort of an error in the uploading process that gave me this error??

WHY... wait till now?!

"Make sure you tell us what you would like us to do to fix the problem"

Process this file and allow it to be on the site is what I want them to do!! ...but, "When contacting the Internet Archive, please note that we do not have a technical support department.", ..what are the odds of that if I can't even reach a human being to handle this issue??!?

This is truly an effin' joke! I reuploaded the file, it finished & was posted, & then just to look & see if the original upload, which did finish, somehow actually managed to get posted to the site, like some sort of a pathetic joke, I searched for & found it! It was posted on the site, as if no error had ever taken place...

Why would I get an error, saying that it wasn't going to be posted ... "due to issues with the item's content." & then find that it was posted??!

This website is a lot like a lot of other website's, in that the premise behind the site, the original goal's of the site, etc., are all very genuinely admirable. Saying that they are "worthwhile" is an understatement! This site serves as an excellent medium for some awesome content. Unfortunately, however ("When contacting the Internet Archive, please note that we do not have a technical support department. Please refer to the forums and the FAQs."; as if a list of rules, q&a's, could ever possibly sufficiently represent, or even surpass, the human factor?!), the ship is adrift, NO ONE IS AT THE HELM!!!

What this site is supposed to be about, what is it supposed to represent, is awesome; what it actually is about and what it actually represents IS pathetic!!

I don't know what else to tell you other than if you got that message:The item is not available due to issues with the item's content. If you would like to report this problem as an error report, you may do so here.'then whatever you posted was under copyright or believed to be under copyright. What exactly was it you posted? A movie? A tv show? An old time radio show? What was it? Normally that message doesn't show up unless the item was removed due to being proven to be under copyright or there's a strong chance it is copyrighted.
Again all I can tell you is that you uploaded something that's still under copyright.

It doesn't matter what the content was! I never got an e-mail saying that the content wasn't going to be posted or was going to be taken down. Regardless of why the content wasn't posted, or regardless of why it was taken down, I should have gotten an e-mail telling me why, DUH!!

They didn't send me that e-mail! I only noticed that it was not on the site merely bc I checked on it soon after it finished uploading...

I uled it a second time and then after that finished, I noticed that the first ul was miraculously on the site, as if I never received any such error & there was never a problem at all.

This is so STUPID!!

And it has happened again with another ul, that I uled month's ago. I never got an e-mail about it being taken down and that is the real issue; asking why it was taken down, asking about what kind of content it is, only confuses the issue with pointless question's that don't address the real problem, that being the ppl responsible for this site express a disgusting behavior of user unfriendliness, by not handling properly the responsibilities that they have to the user's of this site!

Period.

Point.

Blank.
